A talk about design growth

I recently received a question about my point of view on bootcamps, and how designers should be supplementing their learning and development with a variety of learning options.

The good news is we have so many opportunities to learn and develop and on top of that we have community. We have bootcamps for building 0-1 product design fundamentals, we have Learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, Skillshare, masterclass, and YouTube. This doesn't even count the hundreds of design educators who are spending their time developing content to help advance our industry!

I love them all. However, I think we can do better as a community in building better foundations for designers and creators to align on their ambitions, visions, and purpose so we can have better compatibility in where people work, how they show up, and how they develop a whole new level of intentional purpose-driven outcomes.

Today I wanted to share with you a talk about growth and what it takes to have a well-rounded foundation of not only learning design essentials but developing an advanced growth mindset to help you build strategies and recipes that serve your greater purpose.

In this talk, we'll look at breaking down your focus areas, then I'll share a breakdown of the two sides of the Design Growth Coin where on one side we need to keep developing our craftmanship, and essential design practices, then on the other side we must develop our design maturity across working with people, processes, and platforms.

All the best,

Best,
Drew

I want to also share with you an animated video to articulate the pattern we go through time and time again for all our projects. Learn the patterns, expose the opportunities to be more efficient, more productive to bring more impact on your work, and your business.
